ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The first track is a traditional varnam in Sri raga. I've played the first half in five speeds and the second half in two speeds. After a short alapana in Hamswadhwani, I've played one of my own compositions in Raga Hamsadhwani in praise of Lord Ganesha. Following this is Tyagaraja's famous Dhenuka kriti, Teliyaleru llama.
The main piece taken up for elaboration is another Tyagaraja kriti, Manasa etulo, in the raga Malayamarutam. The last item is the popular Kathana-kuthuhalam kriti of Patnam Subramania Iyer, Raghuvamsha sudha.
