ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Featuring:

Mark Buchholtz: Synthesizer
David Shoemaker: Guitar and Synthesizer

Inspired by the likes of Brian Eno, Robert Fripp, Michael Brook, and David Sylvian, LAST THREE LIVES is a genre-bending musical adventure. Mark and David put their musical heads together for the first time, threw in a healthy dose of studio wizardry, and created a unique and powerful album which is destined to make an impression for years to come.

From the spacious melancholy of "Memory" to the ethnic world-tripping of "Kalahari" and the stilling "Sky Over Earth", LAST THREE LIVES is a strong debut effort from this promising duo.

...listened to it 4 times already...
A lot of so called progressive music cds wind up sounding like out-takes from B grade 70's bands. But this album has a lot going for it. It's not 70s prog, but more modern and varied. Reminds me of Michael Brook at times. I like just about all of it, which is rare cause I'm pretty particular... Textures, ambience, some melodies, fx but not overly done. I listened to it 4 times already...
