Album Notes
Floating Worlds is an album of original songs that capture a broad spectrum of Lucien LaMotte's writing and playing abilities. Each song was recorded live with voice and acoustic guitar and features a different accompanying instrument for each track. On this album Lucien plays acoustic and electric guitar, pedal steel, dobro, mandolin, bass and percussion. The songs range from the soundscape a cappella piece "The Dream is Stirring" to the politically charged lyric of "Fireworks". The material on this album displays a variety of sounds including those of the folk and Americana tradition to alternative pop sounds. The album was mixed and mastered by engineer Julian Martlew.
