Album Notes
Dear Listener,

Lucius Terwilliger is not a who, but a what. He is the Jethro in Jethro Tull, the Pink in Pink Floyd. Lucius Terwilliger is a band name, and a loose band at that. Organized by Ken Langford, the artist formerly known as “Hey You!”, I’m actually a music enthusiast and fan who has played guitar for 24 years. Over the years I have met a number of songwriters whose songs I have adopted to play for my own enjoyment, and occasionally the enjoyment of others. I also write my own songs, some of which are included on this CD.

Since I had always wanted to make a contribution to music, and have my musical vision heard, I put together the first Lucius Terwilliger CD.

My influences are really all over the map, from Pink Floyd to Wild Man Fischer to Tom Waits to Tangerine Dream... the Guitar Trio, Syd Barrett solo stuff, overtone singers Huun Huur Tu from south Siberia, Ken Nordine... just a ton of different music.

On the CD I play guitar and sing on most of the tracks, and I produced the project. The engineer, Park Peters, deserves a lot of credit for his work as engineer and sounding board. The other writers were Steve Clark, Steve Clark, Steve Clark, (I am supposed to mentionhim 3 times any time I play his songs), Chris O'Riley, Jeff Goldberg, and Pete Wason.

The idea of the CD is to get these songs in front of other people, as they are all currently obscure. I'm more of a fan, like you probably are, than a performer. I just really love music, and I wanted to make a contribution. Hope you enjoy the music!

Hi All,

The NEW Lucius Terwilliger CD is almost ready for release. You can hear one preview track at (find the free track via the home page), and see the cover of the new release. Scheduled release date is 11/20/06. The new CD is very much in the same spirit of the first one, but the production value has improved and there is more development of each track. Please give it a listen!

Thanks for looking at & listening to Try This At Home!
