ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
LUCKY JACKSON BIO:

Lucky Jackson was born Michael Bartholomew Warren in ADELAIDE, South Australia on May 4th 1961 or July 22nd 1847; it's still a little unclear on that point. Learning to play the guitar late in life, he began writing songs after his very first informal lesson because practising was a pain in the ass. After years of writing crap he thought it was about time he wrote something good for a change, assuming it would be more conducive to a successful career. He was wrong!

His stage name came from his childhood idol Elvis Presley who played Lucky Jackson in the MGM masterpiece Viva Las Vegas in 1964 with Ann-Margaret. His physical resemblance to the king of Rock'n'Roll didn't help at all because they don't look anything alike.

Becoming a Christian in 1987 was a turning point in his life although it didn't manifest itself professionally. His first disc called Tangerine Sky was recorded between 1996 and 1998 when it was finally produced and sold well in his local area.

He is currently recording in his own studio set up for his own label called MAI-SONGS MUSIC and is about to release his first full length independent Rock album called Lonely road ahead.

Terrific!!
It's not the most professional work I've heard, but the lyric is very thought provoking. I couldn't say where this guy is going to end up, but he is an artist that makes you think. He is interesting and hard to ignore. Love the poem "Tragic faces". "Step into the fire" was rockin'.

Brilliant lyric from an independant artist with purpose and passion!
I heard much of this album online and think that this is the way independant music should be produced. Do away with slick over produced drivel. This production is raw, emotive and sincere. Any flaws in it's sound and performance only adds to it's character. Step into the fire, Legendsville and Don't tell me it's rain are stand out tracks and the musical poem Tragic faces borders on masterpiece. Keep 'em coming Lucky and inspire artists of the future who needs originality to lead them.
