Album Notes
Ripped from the tawdry headlines of yesterday's news, comes this first installment from the adventures of The Lucky Stars. From out of the West our heroes have emerged triumphantly to create a sound that rises above the bland and murky landscape of today's popular music. On this, their first-ever CD release, The Lucky Stars recorded live in studio to capture the authentic and well-crafted sound that has become their trademark. This collection of eleven original songs, plus Pee Wee King's classic "Tennessee Tango," showcase a variety of moods and rhythms good for fueling a three-day bender or soothing that fourth-day hangover. "Hollywood & Western" crackles with raucous energy and talent as the boys present their unique brand of heartbroken blues and rollicking good-time dance music. Thrill to this, the first chapter of the meteoric rise to fame of The Lucky Stars.

Tattoo Annie

Great tattoo'n music!
I first got the chance to listen to this CD when I was getting poked by my tattoo artist "Karina". She had it playing in the background. It was so awesome that when I got home I ordered it! Now it's in my cd changer in my car. It makes my long drive to and from work much easier to handle.

Chuck 'Wagon' Maultsby

Wonderful Retro Sound!
How refreshing to hear such a new old sound! These guys nailed it... reaching back sixty years and updating that great old cowboy sound for the modern ear. Good songwriting to boot! 5 stars 4 Lucky Stars!!! HAPPY TRAILS FELLERS from the Tucson cactus country...

CD Baby

This is where country gets simply adorable. This early country western swing, fortified with lots of pedal steel and that sweet, charming, old LP recording quality is just the perfect, refreshing medicine for the ailing, over-burdened ear. With light, shuffley strumming guitar and classic vocals, the Lucky Stars capture the magic and mood of the 1940's and 50's with spunk and personality.

If you ain't up dancing when this is on, you must be dead!!

Love this type of music...
One of my favorite types of music. I first heard this band when they played at our local Cowboy and Poetry Festival. Being an audiophile as well, I was disappointed this recording in mono. I would still recommend it if that doesn't bother you.

Old music played from the heart.
The Lucky Stars, You are great! I have thousands of country songs on LP:s, tapes and CD:s. But when I hear this kind of music, with a band that are playing from their heart, I could give all the other records away.
Keep it Country!
