Know a baby? Perfect Gift!

These well-established lullabies were collected by Dorothy Berliner Commins and published in 1967 by Random House in Lullabies of the World. They have been reproduced here with kind permission from her estate and her daughter. The lullabies have been found effective for generations. Now by adding the technology of alpha and sub-alpha beating to natural tuning, the ultimate child soother has been developed. The slowing rhythms lull your baby to sleep whilst introducing the sounds of diverse types of music. It is anticipated that children brought up using these sounds will easily appreciate other music from around the world. The rhythms and intonations, which may at first sound strange to adult Western ears, will be familiar for them.

Play LucyTuned Lullabies quietly in the nursery at bedtime. To those who have previously only experienced and appreciate Western musical tuning, it may at first sound very different, yet see what a difference it makes to bedtime. It also works on adults so avoid use when driving or using machinery.

Whilst there, you can download the .pdf files of the eight page booklets lyrics, and sheet music for both albums

This is the original 1994 album. The second album of LucyTuned Lullabies (2) was produced (again with James Sanger - of Dido and Keane producer fame) in 2004, and is also available from CDBaby.

29th June 2006 - update:
Today we will be launching the LucyStick edition of this album at the londoncalling2006.com Future of Music Business Conference in London in conjunction with CDBaby. LucySticks will be available in mp3 format, and can be used to store any data once the LucyTuned tracks have been transferred. The first 1000, will be a limited authorised and numbered edition.
As far as we know, this is the first commercial use of this format for music delivery. Will it replace the CD?

Deeplly soothing.
Having no kids, I bought this for myself. The tuning enhances the exotic appeal to imagination and helps the lullaby effecy. I find the lullaby from Greece paticularly evocative.
