ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I just finished recording my first Christmas album! The Album is called "DRUMMER BOY" and is made up of eight of my favorite Christmas songs. I recorded the record at my home studio, KAIROS MEDIA PRODUCTIONS STUDIOS, in 8 days! (Of course the planing took a lot longer than that.) I'm so stoked on how this album came out and I cant wait for you to hear it. Guess we'll be spending the holidays together!

Here's a little inside info. A little insight into my world. Recording records takes a ton of time. There's so much Preparation. Choosing songs, writing, arranging, scheduling, Photo shoots, Who's gonna play on the record, How much everything will cost, trying to cut those cost in half, trying to raise the money. Then there's the question of where your going to record. In this case I decided to do the record in my home studio. A couple years back I had quite a serious collection of Studio gear. That's how I was able to do my EP, Faithful. Then I sold most of it except for what I needed to do simple demos from Home. Ill explain why another time. Anyway, When I decided to do a Christmas record, I realized for the price of going into a full blown studio, I could re invest into my own studio and get it back up to the level I think is needed to release professional projects. So, that's what I did. The difference between this time and last time I built a studio is that this time I took a more simplistic approach. In a nut shell, I run Pro tools LE, on a Mac. No out board gear.

I'm normally one who wants everything to be perfect in order to do something. It was really fun to see how quality a project I could put out with a minimal amount of gear. Here's the formula I used this time

Preparation + Your best + What resources you have + talented friends = Something to be proud of you could easily have said, "Ugh, I don't have time to do a Christmas record.

Where theres a will, Theres a way.
