Album Notes
These two brothers from the bluesiest and most rockin' part of southern Atlanta are two of the most heartfelt songwriters around! This CD features 9 original tracks along with a cover song of Huey "Piano" Smith's "Sea Cruise" which is a nod back to the brothers' days working on a cruise ship under the band name The Dirt Poets.

The album is Produced and Mixed by Jody and Jon Mark Lundell and was recorded at the Bates Motel in Carrolton, GA primarily over the 3 months Jody was recovering from leg surgery. Since both brothers had been touring with little time to record together, they felt an appropriate album title for their début CD (as well as the additional 10 screws fusing back the bone in Jody's leg) would be, "Back Together."
The CD cover is Jody's x-ray after surgery.

Kevin Lyle contributed electric guitar on "As of Tonight" & "For Awhile" and Dinky contributed vocal stylings at the end of "Searchin' for Me." The CD was Mastered by Chris Griffin at Griffin Mastering in Atlanta, GA.

"Back Together" is released through Genterine Records which features other original recordings and CD's featuring both Jody and Jon Mark Lundell.

Awesome vocal work...great production...kick ass guitar
I just came back last week from the Carnival cruise ship Sensation where i listened to the Dirt Poets jam out some awesome covers and originals. I bought this CD right away and fell in love with Ship of fools, by far the best song on the album. Jody told me that they produced the album themselves, this is incredible considering the perfect quality they acheived in mixing together a number of layers of sounds. Way to go guys...i truly loved the CD and hope to hear your stuff on the radio soon.

Buy the Album!
I met Jody Lundell in March 2004 when he was performing on a cruise ship. During that performance, I was introduced to Ship of Fools and other original tunes. I asked him then if there were any plans to release an album and the response was an enthusiastic "we hope so." Back Together is that album. Listening to the songs on this album reminded me of why I found them so delightful in the beginning. The music is poignant and lively and the mixing masterful. Ship of Fools and Angels Cry rate with the best of the music being played on the radio today. I recommend this album to anyone.

Great album, very versatile rock and roll album, great guitar and vocal work.
This CD has some great songs, starting with the rocking song Flipside. Great guitar and harmony vocal work by the brothers. My advice, buy this album, it's a great representation of their versatility and work in the Dirt Poets and their numerous other bands. Their remake of Sea Cruise really rocks. Great production on the album.

This CD is great!!
We just saw them on the Sensation cruise line the past week. After the first night, we were back there almost every night listening to their covers and originals. When I heard Jody playing guitar I wondered ...What is this guy doing a cruise ship?!?
One of the better I have heard listening to local bands over the years. CD is great, keep up the good work and we hope to hear you again soon.

P.S. Thanks for signing our CD!!

Refreshing to hear real music .
I am an old rocker, my but my 15 year old son loves the cd also. It"s promising to hear real music with all the crap out there today. After hearing groups butcher old songs, I like your version of Sea Cruise better. My son and I met Jody back in July on the ship, we would like to know how he broke his leg. Please reply if you can

I heard the Dirt Poets aboard the Sensation cruise ship and I thought they were awesome. I bought the cd Back Together and I love it. The songs Angels Cry and Searchin For Me are probably my favorite. It is rare to find such true musical talent. Keep rockin' guys and I hope there's more in the future.

absolutely love the cd !!!
saw you play on a carnival ship(you even let me sit in....more than once!)and heard a couple of original tunes from this
jodys guitar playing is slick and slippery...its slickery!
johnnys kick sounds as if god himself came down and karate kicked me in the chest.
the cd is well produced and the songs are easy to relate to.
hope to hear more from you guys in the future.
