Album Notes
The greatest Praise album ever! A very eclectic sound collection ranging from Country Blues, Classic Rock, Funk, Blues, New Age and Surfer, No two tunes sound remotely alike. Not necessarily perfect in it's performance, but astonishingly perfect in it's Message and humility. A true project of the heart, of a sinner whose found the Bread of redemption at the cross of Jesus, and, as a beggar to that cross longs to show other sinners/beggars where to find that Bread of Life sent from Heaven. Starting with the word according to John, "God Is Love".

It continues with a Bluesy version of "Wondrous Love" that features John Clifton on harmonica and piano. Followed by the hardest rocking piece on the album, "As Long As I Have Breath" I want to sing Your praise. "Sparrow" is next, featuring Valerie Uhrig, who wrote her own lyrics for each piece she sang on the album. This was her rendition of a piece she heard her Grandma sing when she was a child. Then as many know it is hard to stay the course, so they can probably relate to her "Lost My Way" Blues number, which again leads to the need for "Forgiveness" a Blues original featuring the harmonica stylings of Jeff Hallock.

After being forgiven we realize it is all about His "Amazing Grace" after which we sit in awe and "Silence" a country style blues number. Then the "Green Blade" rises and we rise anew with a sound like never before, and we give "Thanks to the Risen Lord". Then we attempt to bear witness and proclaim "Lift High That Cross" in a Funky, Pentecostal kind of way, remembering it all started with "This Little Light" shining brightly. Thus ends the LWS portion. However the Bonus track is the perfect close as it focuses on a Christians finale, death. The lyrics were written by the deceased poet, John Kirchner, whose dying wish was to have Roger Perry put it to music. It was an ironic twist of fate that actually allowed for this incredible piece to finally be published for the world to hear.

Roger Perry produced this project. He played on every song, but played every instrument on track 10 so as to get it just right for a special somebody. Roger received a Lifetime Achievement award from the CMA folks, and proved his worth several times in the making of this album.

I hope you find this project to be spiritually uplifting
