Album Notes
Lydia Walker is a singer/songwriter, worship leader and radio show host from Middle Tennessee, who aims to bring a message of hope through her music. She has been playing guitar and writing songs since the age of 12, and writing meaningful lyrics has always been her favorite part of making music. Lydia says, "I wouldn't sing songs just for the sake of singing songs. There has to be a reason behind it."

"Go Where You Send Me" was inspired during a trip to Wisconsin where Lydia was performing at a songwriter's conference. After hearing other's stories of how they found their purpose in God, and he has been their reason for playing music, Lydia started writing the chorus of the song as a prayer for her life. "I will go where you send me/ Go where you lead/ And I will stay if you say so/ And when you speak I will listen/ Teach me your wisdom/ Lord have your way in me". Some of the song lyrics are inspired by the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:16-20 of the Bible. Taking to heart the calling of Luke 10:2, the bridge proclaims, "The fields are ripe for the harvest/ We were made for such a time as this/ And we will go carry your message/ Tell the world that He lives!" The song was finished that same weekend, co-written with the founder of the songwriter's group, Gene Schmidt.

Lydia's goal is to encourage others to embrace their calling, and trust in God for what their life should look like. "I believe every Christian is called to a mission field, whether it's in their own backyard or around the world. God has a specific purpose for each one of us, that is greater than we could ever imagine!"
