ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
There are many ways of saying Merry Christmas. The people of the world, speaking in their native tongue, convey their joyous feelings to one another with the same universal tone that prevailed hundreds of years ago when the gift-bearing Magi traveled far and wide to pay homage to the Child born in a lowly manger in Bethlehem. The words that the Three Wise Kings used on that holy night may be different from yours or mine but the meaning and import are the same… for they speak of the same spirit and atmosphere one finds whenever Christmastime comes around…Merry Christmas…the fitting and proper greeting of everyone to celebrate such a wondrous occasion…MERRY CHRISTMAS!, full of the Christmasy thoughts of everyone, rich or poor…enlivening the lives of men, women and children on the day that Christ was born!

Here in the Philippines, from Aparri in Ilocandia and the central plains of Luzon where many Tagalogs live, to far away Visayan Isles…the Filipinos are one and the same in greeting their loved ones on Christmastime. They only differ in the dialects spoken but their thoughts and hearts are of one universal conviviality: Joy to the World, the Lord has come! “ Masayang Pasko’ in Tagalog, “Maayong Pasko” in Visayan, “Naragsak A Paskua” in Ilocano. Paraphrasing these mean just one thing…common to all mankind: Merry Christmas…Peace on Earth, Goodwill to all Men!
