Dekula Vumbi better known as Maestro Dekula, is the band leader and founder of Dekula band.

Dekula band is a 7 piece band that plays central and east African Rumba, Soukous, and African Salsa.
The music that the band plays can best be enjoyed live, as it brings people together, this includes Africans and none African people.
Thier music creates a space of interaction, networking, sharing knowledge, sharing of experiences and breaks barriers created by prejudice.

DEKULA BAND ‘NGOMA YA KILO’ is based in Stockolm, Sweden.
Dekula and his band have set up base at Littel Nairobi in Stockholm where the band continues to entertain fans on week-ends. Dekula also does many music errands across Sweden and remains one of the most popular musicians within the African community in sweden.

The album "Shujaa Mamadou Ndala" is dedicated to the late hero "Mamadou Ndala", who fought to make peace in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
