Album Notes
The 'Magic Tramps' were pioneers of the New York City rock scene along with 'Blondie' - 'Ramones' - 'New York Dolls' - 'Corpse Grinders' - 'Suicide' - 'Talking Heads' - 'Patti Smith' - 'Kiss' & more. Singer Eric Emerson, Andy Warhol Superstar, created a theatrical scene of glitz - glam & glitter. Playing at Max's Kansas City' - Mercer Arts center - Coventry - CBGB's - created a buzz while working with the likes of Link Wray - New York Dolls & the 'Dictators'. Sesu Coleman gives a brief narration of the bands history along with an unreleased track off an upcoming LP called ' Children Of The Kingdom', recorded in 1970. This track has the original 'Magic Tramps' Eric Emerson on vocals - Youngblood on guitar - Lary Chaplan on electric violin & drummer Sesu Coleman. The title track 'Mental Moron' is a remake of guitarist Rick Rivets 'Corpse Grinders' hit from the 70's. This 'Magic Tramps' track features singer-guitarist 'Crow Weaver' - violinist Lary Chaplan & drummer Sesu Coleman. This is a special CD with 3 tracks including a look back into the R&R history of NYC in the formative 70's. As Eric Emerson would say 'Let's take a trip'.....

I dig the Magic Tramps
I love this cd and I love the Magic Tramps. The thing that makes this cd cool, besides the music of course, is Sesu Coleman telling a brief history of the Magic Tramps. Sesu sums up the bands path from its inception to what they're (the remaining members) are up to now. And we are also treated to a newly recorded cover song, "Mental Moron" , a song by The Corpse Grinders and a song recorded by the Magic Tramps featuring Eric Emerson on vocals. I for one have already bought five copies and have given four of them to my friends. I recommend this cd . I am looking forward to all the legendary Magic Tramp releases as soon as they get available. BUY THIS CD. BUY FIVE COPIES! GIVE THEM TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW.
