Album Notes
The poems of Rumi have long inspired me. Each emotion, each phrase, emits it's own vibration and sound. So it was natural to marry Rumi with ethereal ambient soundscapes and soft vocals. This album is full of the sounds of nature, chimes, strings and synths, creating magic for the ear and soul. Rumi is my love song--from the universe to you, from my heart to special people-- a love song of sound and emotion.

Working in original composition, she Conservatory trained. This versatile artist demonstrated her vocal power after successfully performing as a backup and lead singer in Minneapolis, MN in 98. Her original songwriting and composition draws on intense personal experience with life and the mystic. She has a background in electronica, nujazz, new age, ambient, gothic, dark ambient and soundscape.

The 2009 debut album of Magnetic Wind met with rave reviews. In 2010, Chakras was released, featuring the critically acclaimed single, The World Below. Magnetic Wind has been featured on The Power of Prog, New Age Music Circle, Night Tides (KCUR, Kansas City), Astreaux World, Radio Mystic, Anima Lumen (Brazil) and Hearts of Space. The World Below was selected as apart of Sounds From the Circle, produced by Only New Age Music mega producer Suzanne Doucet for the Winter 2010 compiliation CD. Most recently the inspirational ballad, Believe, was selected to be part of Songs for Hope, an album dedicating to helping abused and neglected children in the southern U.S. Additionally, she provided background female vocals for the goth band, The Empty Hell on Here Comes the Rain Again and Love Never Dies.

Her fourth album, Astral Vortexes, released in 2010 and has been heard on stillstream.com as well as various podcasts and stations around the globe. Her fifth album, Sounds of Rumi, releases December 12, 2010 on Reverbnation and CD Baby with an iTunes release in January of 2011.

Upcoming releases for 2011 include La Voix de Rue Morgue, exploring her dark ambient side, the EP Electric, showcasing her EBM and Techno works and work on two of nine upcoming albums.

She is a member of the Recording Industry Association of America, BMI and the Grammy Recording Academy. She is heavily influenced by female songstresses Lisa Gerrard, Enya, Constance Demby and Loreena McKennitt. She draws from both electronic and acoustic instruments for her recording and songwriting.
