I listened to a lot of the album in a very raw format whilst helping out with the design of the cover and layout of the booklet. But when the final version arrived printed and packaged, i was amazed at the sound Mali and Cuan have. The music is a tranquil and beautiful expedition into the heart and soul of Mali and a greater journey in discovery and life. The music is expertly put together and the album flows gently in an ensemble of brilliant vocals and gut wrenchingly sincere lyrics.
Great Jobs guys.

Take Away...
When you get home on a friday evening after a long hard weeks work, what do you do to reward yourself? Maybe a long soak in the bath (Which this Album is perfect accompaniment to by the way!) Maybe you order takeaway food to treat yourself. This album is great to put on after a weeks graft, and unwind, AND you dont have to throw away the cold leftovers a few days later! On the contrary, you can listen to this album again, and again, and again. Each time hearing something new, thanks to the great depth and full sound that Mali and Cuan have lovingly created.

New mixes of old songs, revitalise some of my favourites from previous Demo CD's, and all the 'new' songs live up to the great standard that Mali has set herself.

Mali is definatly one to watch, and I fully recommend this CD over a takeaway anyday! 5 stars!

Young, fresh and fantastic
For the friends and family of Mali, this is a long awaited debut album and it certainly does not disappoint! This versatile duo are a delight to listen to, comfortably fitting into any music lovers library with their Irish coffee of musical genre - 'pop' with a shot of country and western. Mali's voice is fantastically pure, with bounteous character that can't help but draw you in. Every track features a little bit of personality, something which is missing in the majority of today's popular music. For any of you who are reading this, pondering whether or not to buy this album, look no further - this is quite honestly one of the best albums I have ever purchased!

The album I've been waiting for
Listening to the sweet voice of Mali Korsten always manages to bring tears to my eyes. Having listened to the demo cd's created by Mali and Cuan, I thought I knew what the album would be like, but it far extends what I previously thought. With it's mix of folk, rock and country, Atlases & Astronauts offers a fantastic blend of soft music, with lyrics that are extraordinary. If you listen to track one, the prospect of hearing another song is exciting. I listen to Atlases & Astronauts every day in the car, on my way to work, and I hate having to get out the car! Mali is a wonderful friend, and is a extremely talented. If I had to choose one album that touched my heart the most, it would be this one. Mali, I'm so proud to call myself your friend. Love you x

Simply beautiful
Mali's record, from start to finish is a collection of beautiful, heartfelt and exquisitely written songs.

I've been lucky enough to be able to perform with Mali and Cuan and experience their music first hand. Mali's pure and effortless voice draws you into her lyrics and takes you away from the worries of the world while Cuan's guitar playing adds unique colour and style.

Buy this album. You need it in your life.

When I saw the album cover and title...I was intrigued and had a feeling it would be a great addition to my CD collection. I was right! It is a beautiful album, perfect for long drives and lazy sunday afternoons. Her voice is sweet and clear and the melodies as well as the lyrics are top notch. Well done-highly recommended.

I’ve looked in a thesaurus and thought long and hard about it, but the only word that can describe this album more than that old cliché: Beautiful.

I heard some of these songs even before all the verses were completed. I listened to them played in their live, raw state with just Mali and her guitar and vocals. I even heard each song unfold bit by bit in the studio. One thing’s for sure - Mali, and let us not forget Cuan, did an astounding job. I was amazed at how each song seemed to become unique, a massive array of instruments arranged masterfully behind the sweet sounding guitar and effortless vocals.

Mali has always been an absolute pleasure to listen to, now even more so! A hard year’s work paid off, this is an album for Mali to be proud of. An album I’m proud to own. The most chilled and lovely album I’ve ever heard.

You now find me wishing the rating of this review allowed more than 5 stars, for it surely deserves 10!

If you haven’t yet, order your copy. It does not disappoint. Congratulations to all involved in making this gem.
