Album Notes
Erê is a spirited encounter of organist Vanessa Rodrigues with iconic Brazilian instrumentalists Carlos Malta on woodwinds and Robertinho Silva on percussion and drums.

Malta and Silva's impressive careers include collaborations with a veritable who's who of Brazilian music and jazz around the world; notably Malta with Hermeto Pascoal, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, and more recently Dave Matthews and Snarky Puppy, and Silva with Wayne Shorter, Milton Nascimento, João Bosco, Sarah Vaughan and George Benson.

Rodrigues relocated from Canada to Rio de Janeiro in 2012; she has since recorded with renowned guitarist Ricardo Silveira and drummer Rafael Barata (Ricardo Silveira Organ tRio, 2014), and performs regularly with various Brazilian musicians in live concert settings.

Featuring original compositions penned by all three members, Rodrigues provides a gentle but solid backdrop for Malta and Silva to playfully explore and celebrate their decades-long musical friendship.
