Album Notes
You really like to tap your feet to music, but you don't necessarily want to get up to do anything about it. The sun is warm, the water is perfect, you have just the right amount of privacy.

Time for Mambo.

You want to move your body to the music, but you want an instrumental sound, with conversation and dance weaving together around a Latin flavor, with Calypso, Spanish, and Brazillian seasonings. Something that works quiet and not-so-quiet.

Time for Mambo.

You want to savor the day, relaxing as the sun sets over paradise, with the rhythm of the music making you look forward to the night.

Time for Mambo.

Dance, relax, enjoy - Mambo. From J.D. Records.

Put Mambo on and prepare to "take the trip" to exotic spanish flavored landscape

The style and direction of this band is straight forward and clear cut - latin jazz. You know what to expect and Mambo does not let you down.

The father/son duo of Julio and Jeremy Quezada on spanish guitars leads Mambo through a variety of melodic, harmonic and rhythmic excursions. Backing up the Quezada's are Ralph Retinger on bass (who also plays in the Decibels) and the powerful rhythm section of Joel Polacci on congas and Ricky Hopkins on drums.

This disc has excellent sound quality with clean, clear production provided by Midtown Recording's Randy Hetherington. The CD is composed of eleven tunes ranging from high energy pieces to beautiful slower songs.

Put Mambo on and prepare to "take the trip" to exotic spanish flavored landscapes oozing with a rich latin vibe.

...jazz, funk, latin...African...even bossanova...into the melting pot

Mambo hail from Erie, PA and centre around the father and son on guitars, Julio and Jeremy Quezada. Theirs is a real eclectic album, with jazz, funk, latin rhythms, African music and even bossanova thrown into the melting pot.

It's a sound that appears pleasant as background music but never grabs the attention for too long. So if you want something to play as you relax that won't distract you too much then the Mambo album may be just the thing for you.
