Album Notes
My daughter Heather Kenzie Gunn was born on October 27, 2010. She weighed 7 lbs 6 ozs and was 19.5 inches long. She was born with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia. She spent the first three weeks of her life in the hospital where she had her first of three surgeries.

A few weeks after she came home, I was taking care of her while trying to record a Christmas song for my Gunn Runners. I had her strapped to my chest. She was crying. I put on my head phones and hit record. As I sang "Silent Night", she fell fast asleep. Thus was born a magical lullaby rendition of the most famous Christmas song ever.

Kenzie had two surgeries in her first year. But the defects were mostly fixed. Now she's growing like every other little toddler, with all the spunk and joy associated. That was a wonderful Christmas gift.

Irish drinking songs and science fiction. Nowhere else but from the bizarre imagination of Marc Gunn would those elements be so neatly integrated. It’s like a satirical jam session between The Clancy Brothers and Weird Al Yankovic featuring Celtic-style songs about hobbits, cats, kilts, Firefly, Star Wars, Star Trek, plus, Gunn’s rockin’ acoustic renditions of traditional Scottish and Irish songs.

Nicknamed “The Celtfather”, Gunn is a champion of indie Celtic music. He quit his day job in 2005 to pursue music full-time. He got involved in podcasting during his downtime. His Irish & Celtic Music Podcast is one of the top 20 music podcasts on iTunes. It was voted the #1 Best Podsafe Music Podcast in the People’s Choice Podcast Awards in 2009 and 2010. His Celtic Music Magazine is published monthly and goes out to over 20,000 subscribers. He has given away over 20,000,000 MP3s since he began his Celtic music career.
