Album Notes
Vandita Kate Marchesiello, E-RYT 500

Vandita is recognized by Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 500. This is the highest distinction awarded by the group in the art and science of yoga.

For more than 30 years she has incorporated holistic practices into her family life. She has studied and applied modalities that include yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), mediation, and yoga nidra (deep yogic sleep), macrobiotics (a holistic approach to health and longevity), homeopathy, color therapy, creative visualization, progressive relaxation, and much, much, more.

She has lovingly held the position of director for the Kripalu Yoga Teachers Association-KYTA based at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, for nearly 10 years. When not at her desk you’ll find her leading yoga classes, presentations, programs, or hosting the annual conference for yoga teachers

From 1989-99 as the executive director of the Albany Kripalu Yoga Center, Vandita trained instructors, delivered presentations, taught classes, and pioneered yoga and heath initiatives throughout the Northeast, appearing regularly on television and radio during her tenure from 1989–1999. Her articles have appeared in numerous Kripalu publications and her CD, Transform, Relax, and Rejuvenate: A Deeply Restorative Relaxation continues to be a favorite among yoga students around the world.

Among the many organizations she has presented to in New York State are:
National Multiple Sclerosis Society
Blue Cross Blue Shield
GE Corporate Research & Development-Whitney Symposium on Science & Technology
Capital District Women's Bar Association.

Heading up special projects at Kripalu Center over the last eight years such as the Teaching for Diversity grant program
and the Kripalu Affiliate Studio program, Vandita has made it possible for teachers to share the healing benefits of yoga with people from diverse populations in thousands of communities. As a wife and mother to three children she learned many hard lessons in the art of balancing home, health, and career. At 50-something, she is as vibrant and energetic as she was at 40. Her zest for life and ability to share common-sense advice, coupled with a warm sense of humor, has made her a sought-after speaker who is approachable and genuine in nature.

You're going to love this one...
As a yoga teacher, I use this music to guide my students into a deep, meditative and relaxing space.

The music floats on air, echoing a soothing lullaby sound that reminds one of home; of being without a care in the world as you rest in a place of stillness. While listening to the magical melody and Vandita’s hauntingly beautiful voice, you'll find a peaceful place right now where the duties of the day disappear, leaving only a loving space and an open heart.

You'll enjoy this work whether you use the CD in your yoga practice, or as easy listening music. I highly recommend it!
