Album Notes
The double album "33" celebrates 33 years of partnership between the percussionist and producer Marco Bosco and the pianist, arranger and producer Paulo Calasans. The records of Marco Bosco’s solo career have always passed through the hands of Paulo Calasans, one of the most respected, arrangers and producers from Brazil. In all solo albums released from 1980 to 2013, with several very special participations of Brazilian and international musicians such as Egberto Gismonti, Airto Moreira, Flora Purim, Sebastião Tapajós, Maestro Rogério Duprat, Grupo Acaru, Vicente Barreto, Dominguinhos, Genival Lacerda, Paulo Calasans, Ruriá Duprat, Cesar Camargo Mariano, Marlui Miranda, Casey Rankin, Tsuyoshi Yamamoto, Oscar Castro Neves, Wilson Simoninha and several others in these 33 songs that make up the double album. In this compilation, although the base in Duo, as signature of the two musicians in question, is always used the most modern sequential equipment and next-generation software that always place face to face the programming with the percussion acoustic and sound ambiances, recorded in different situations such as those recorded in the Amazon Jungle. In 2012 Marco Bosco and Paulo Calasans have been nominated for the Latin Grammy in Las Vegas in the category of the best MPB album, with the Root album of Leila Pinheiro by always following this musical signature of the programmed and the acoustic. Both musicians, with wide musical experience and production are once again celebrating the music and the urban Brazilian art in declared dating with the natural sound ambiance and acoustic percussion instruments.
