Album Notes
Mardi says...

TRAPEZE is the first CD from me and my partner, writer-guitarist-producer Gad Foltys. The album features Gadi on guitars, Glenn Olive on bass, and Aaron Ferrera on drums, as well as guests, percussionist Geoff Bennett and violinist Hugh Marsh on select tracks.

Lyrics are front, centre and rhythmic, making use of vivid imagery from the natural world, inner life, spiritual mysteries and the world of human interaction. The music is rich with jazz, r&b and middle eastern influences. Add the unique colours of Gadi's guitar voicings, the swimming fretless bass, steady, hypnotic grooves, and my voice, which has been described as all of liquid, ethereal and edgy, we think you're in for a very rich and original musical experience.

"I wrote the song "Trapeze" because it's such a graphic image of a leap of faith...that's what doing this album was all about ...leaping into the unknown and trusting... The result is something fresh and mysterious, and it's gotten sudden & positive response..."
