Dancing to the Beat!
In looking for piano duet music for my next recital of Australian composers I came across this gem but Australian composer Margaret Brandman. Appealing to my love of jazz, rhythmic flair and exciting, yet, listenable music I was very excited to find this piece for two pianos. The energy from this piece is astounding, filling both the performer and the listener with a sense of optimism and happines. The beautiful, rich harmonies are an example of the array of Margaret's compositional output, and are not to be overlooked. A great work for anyone looking for contemporary, listenable, Australian music! and the best thing it is a fun piece to play!
