Long Time Coming

by MariaM & James O’keeffe

Long time coming is a soulful easy listener, it’s taken a popular phrase and framed it with a positive story of personal growth and awakening with the catchiest hook line you’ll probably hear all year. We are reintroduced to the smooth sailing vocals of atmospheric soul singer MariaM, her first release since her breathtaking EP ‘Heart to Heart’ sounding as sweet as ever and we are introduced to the soulful, gritty, jamiroquai-esque vocals of James O’Keeffe, a singer songwriter from Hitchin. A gorgeous blend of tones and a single with just enough but still leaves you wanting more and definitely singing; it’s been a long time coming.

Album Notes
MariaM is a singer/songwriter and guitarist hailing from south london, combines her sweet vocals which has been described as 'atmospheric soul' to fill your earlobes with a blend of pop, soul, folk and alternative music, with thought provoking lyrics that will get you thinking and bopping your head.
A story teller, who released her debut EP ‘Heart to heart’ to a sold out audience at her launch, and has had play in countries such as France, Australia, Argentina, Switzerland, and live in Tokyo Japan, where she toured as apart of the unveiling festival.
This was then followed by two music videos for tracks ‘Without You’ equipped with breathtaking scenery and dramatic effects, and ‘Running’ an epic merge of visuals in a timeless lyric video.
This unique and sultry performer who doesn’t stop, is also apart of the infamous kingdom Choir, whose rendition of ‘Stand by Me’ at the royal wedding, was watched by the world and had been viewed over 10 million times. The London community gospel choir, performing with the 1975, Justin Timberlake, on the graham norton show, in venues like the royal Albert hall, the jazz cafe, the 02, and is the featured vocalist on popular house track by Kitsch ‘Say you’re mine’ which reached over 1 million streams and has had thumbs up from Example.
She is back to performing across london and the uk, and is due to release more music this coming year.

James O’Keeffe a unique soul and Jazz singer, with passion in his voice and his heart on his sleeve.
Hailing from Stevenage, his music tells of his life story, and touches on real issues accompanied by the simple but solid Jazz tones and a raw passionate, raspy yet dynamic vocal delivery. An honesty not often displayed in music but longed for.
His debut EP ‘You found me’ 2017 was a instant smash, receiving radio play, and raised hundreds in funding and awareness for the charity ‘people for people’ in Stevenage.
The EP showcased his unlimited talent of singing, spoken word and songwriting through the original songs, and modernised rendition on gospel classic ‘lord don’t move that mountain’.
No doubt a hidden gem of talent, with great likability, set to break stereotypes of Jazz and soul music.
