ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Marie Chabot spent the last few years traveling with master songwriters to different countries, to find inspiration to write about the loss of key people in her life. Mentors and travels include Verlon Thompson, Jonatha Brooke, Mary Gauthier, and Beth Nielsen-Chapman, in Nashville, Tuscany, Scotland, and California. Marie hails from New England, and these songs helped her through the grief of losing a husband, grandparents, parents, and a close aunt. The stories are her own; this is an uplifting, hopeful album about the power of those who have passed before us, and how they still impact our lives. Marie shares her spirituality in the lilting melodies, Celtic and middle European feel of the instrumentation, but the stories are pure Americana.
