Album Notes
At age 52, I realized my lifelong dream of becoming a singer when, after only a year of voice lessons, I appeared in the Kingston School of Music’s springtime recital.
I performed Frank Sinatra's ‘All the Way’ (thanks for the introduction, mom). When I sang on stage, I traveled to another world. A world where I was right at home. At my next lesson, my voice teacher Dorothy asked, "How did it go?" "Were you scared?" "No way," I answered, "When's the next recital?" That was 12 years ago.
This album, ‘Lady With A Song’, is my third CD. I still take lessons, (Justin Stoney, head of New York Vocal Coaching) and practice, practice, practice daily 8:30-9:00 a.m. I just released ‘Truly’, a duet with my longtime musical collaborator Perry Rossi. And I’ll release an updated CD this year of my first recording I ever made with the songs, ‘All The Way’ and ‘Winter Wonderland’.
The best performance review I’ve ever received is from a fellow musician/recording artist David Stephenson:
“I had a friend over and we watched your performance video. I was trying to explain to her my theory of artistic transcendence. How we can overcome self-criticism, self-doubt, and other fear based crap by putting the "pedal down" and having the courage to feel. Your video illustrates this better than most. You know the material you are performing, you are well rehearsed, and you are taking care of business. A real inspiration my friend. About 99.5% of the performers don't understand that this is the true brass ring.”
Enjoy my music. I hope it awakens your Singer and inspires you to share your singing with the world!
