ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Go ahead and listen. This guy has a warm voice, knows how to deliver a lyric, and is playing with excellent musicians. The selection of songs includes great tunes, some of which you don't hear often enough.

He's not the second coming of Frank, Mel, or Joe, he has his own sound, but if you like the sound of a classic jazz singer who can swing, give him a listen, you'll probably like him.

Catch Mark at the Vermont Jazz Center in Brattleboro where he is a regular at the Wednesday night jams, and sings with the VJC Big Band. A new recording featuring several duets with Montreal singer Mary Ann Lacey, pianist Eugene Uman, and German guitar virtuoso Helmut Kagerer is in the works, stay tuned!

UPDATE: Mark is singing and playing guitar with the Butterfly Swing Band, playing classic tunes in the southern Vermont area.

Great Tunes Warm Delivery
Warm and classic! Mark has the lovely voice of a crooner, yet he does a great deal more than just croon. It's a real treat to hear him sing bop with his nice and easy swinging style. Sugar and Milestones are by far my favorites and Sabor a mi is simply romantic. Exceptional and swinging trio. Everything blends like a great recipe. Tasty horn solos and fills. A high quality performance.
