This is the realm of Morpheus, the God of dreams, Written and performed by guitarist Mark Battenberg, and was recorded at Ground Loop studios by top engineer, Dean Malton
"Morpheus the god of dreams" is a musical legend that tells the tale of the mystical God, Morpheus, whose beloved,Ariel, is captured by the Lord of the Dark. With Morpheus' spells, and the help of a mortal man, we embark on a musical journey into the dream world to find and return the Goddess to the her home,which is in the eternal garden,where she sings forever to the stars
This CD also contains Mark's first work with the Celtic harp, as well as his haunting composition for guitar and cello (The Joy of Sorrow) featuring cello virtuoso Andrew Ascenzo
Mark Battenberg's performance is clean and precise, and his compositions are flowing and often complex, revealing a great discipline and dedication to his art, which has been developing for over thirty years, and includes five CD's of original works.
His live Concert performances, Called the River Spirit meditations, are magical events with ambient stages and amazing guest performers, like Mark Korven ,and Shakuhachi master Debbie Danbrook.
Marks is also a published poet and performing arts teacher
