Christmas This Year

by Mark David Williams

This is a great mix of old classics and fresh new Christmas songs by a very talented singer/songwriter. Mark has the vocal power of Clay Aiken and Josh Groban, but also displays a gentle and controlled musicality that is very listenable.

Album Notes
I have always wanted to record a Christmas album that would feature great classics like "O Holy Night" and "Joy To The World". But I also wanted to create and introduce some fresh new songs. "Christmas Is Only Christmas With You" is a romantic song about being with the one you love at Christmas time. "This Year" is a reflective song on the past year and how we can make the next year the best one yet. "Can I Call Him Son" is a standout on the album. It is a song from Joseph's perspective that asks God a lot of questions that Joseph may have had when he found out he was going to be Jesus' father. And "1st Christmas" was written for my twins and is a little lullaby that I dedicate to them and anyone who is going to celebrate Christmas for the first time with a new baby. Please enjoy and have a very Merry Christmas!
