Album Notes
The tale of Mark Prey and the Hunters can really be broken down into a narrative of a 30 year over night success story. Breaking on the music scene in Madison Wisconsin in the mid-eighties The richly melodic and blues-indebted sound landed them fans right from the start. Live shows highlighted the creative MPH sound. However, in the late 80's lead singer and front man Mark Prey decided to step out of the Midwest and start anew in the Pacific Northwest . The thriving NW music scene was exactly the prescription for the band to re-invent itself from the humble Midwest beginnings. Enter the new MPH... with help from fellow Hunter co-founder Bruce Rodgers, Mike Armstrong, David Brooks, Paul Anthony and Joe Suskind. This new Mark Prey and the Hunters delivers "Guitar Monster" featuring searing guitars, ringing vocals, smart pop hooks and warm, soulful arrangements guaranteed to light a fire in your heart.
