ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Mark Sanders is originally from Marion, IL and has appeared in theatrical productions and concerts around the world. He has become a favorite with South Florida’s Gulf Coast Symphony having appeared in ‘Andrew Lloyd Webber: UNMASKED’ with Christiane Noll and Doug LaBrecque, ‘Richard Rodgers Songbook’ with Lisa Vroman and William Michals, and ‘Deck The Halls’ holiday concert. He was seen as Perchik on the Broadway National Tour of Fiddler on the Roof starring Theodore Bikel and created the role of Rev. Dimmesdale in The Scarlet Letter at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His portrayal of ‘Dan’ in the critically acclaimed production of Next To Normal at Actors’ Playhouse in Coral Gables, FL earned him a Best Actor in a Musical nomination for the 2012 BroadwayWorld Florida Awards.

After moving to New York City in 1995, Mark worked at such prestigious theatres as Lincoln Center, Goodspeed Opera House, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, North Shore Music Theatre, Sacramento Music Circus, and Houston’s Theatre Under The Stars. He sang for President George H.W. Bush and Vice-President Joe Biden and has shared the stage with Broadway stars Sutton Foster, Mark Jacoby, Robert Cuccioli, Beth Leavel, Stephen Bogardus, Stephanie J. Block, Dee Hoty, Victoria Clark, Andrea McArdle, and Alice Ripley as well as Movie and TV stars Jeff Goldblum, Ed Begley Jr., Illeana Douglas, Morgan Fairchild, Adrienne Barbeau, Sally Struthers, Robert Newman, Charles Shaughnessy, Page Davis, and Ana Gasteyer.

Mark now spends a lot of his time in Southwest Florida where he has become a very popular, in demand vocalist. His debut CD, THIS MOMENT, has truly been a labor of love. The songs chosen helped shape moments throughout his life and each has a power and emotion that will stir your memories. He collaborated with his longtime friend and accomplished pianist, Scott Kassner, to capture the vision for the CD. You can hear the attention to detail as each song transports you. The artistry of THEY CAN’T TAKE THAT AWAY FROM ME is magical and the acoustic beauty of HELLO AGAIN is truly moving. Anthems THIS IS THE MOMENT and GRATEFUL are not to be missed as well as the pure joy of the IMAGINATION MEDLEY. The simplicity and emotion of the classic MY FUNNY VALENTINE and BRING HIM HOME are mesmerizing. The result is an unforgettable compilation that will add to any music lover’s collection.
