Album Notes
"Unique" might be a good description for an expatriate Blues musician in Asia; a place where one does not quickly associate with Blues music.

Blue Top has been playing regular dates for the past few years around the greater Taipei area; covering a variety of Blues, Jazz and Rock styles while forging its own original musical creativity. Alternating between live performances in nightclubs and recording in the studio has earned Blue Top an original CD recording.

Joe Markus, an American guitarist, singer and composer draws from the influences of such greats as Eric Clapton, B.B. King and way too many others to mention. Backed by a tight rhythm section, Markus leads Blue Top through a workout on a variety of Blues-inspired original guitar-based numbers.

"Pleasant vocal with attractive vibrato... I like your vocal quality. Pretty good playing... Joe, your music shows passion and intensity..."
Bruce Iglauer, Alligator Records
