El McMeen

a wonderful album, all about the heart!
This latest recording by Mark Wayne Glasmire is beautifully written, sung, accompanied and produced. To steal and adapt a line, it represents a total eclipse from the heart. I have followed this gentleman's music, up close, from his days singing open mics at Folk City in NYC in the `1980's, and continue to be greatly moved by the timbre of his voice , his gift for melody, and the honesty and directness of his lyrics Space doesn't allow detailed accolades for the songs, but I was quite moved in particular by "Gone Too Long." You know you are in the presence of greatness when a song contains the line "tomorrow will be gone too soon." - turning on its head the axiom that tomorrow never comes. This recording is Highly Recommended.
