Album Notes
“In singing ballads, spirituals and the sacred folk hymns of her Celtic and American ancestors, Marta Burton demonstrates her incredible ability to mesmerize audiences with the pure beauty of her voice and person. The moment she walks on stage and begins to sing, a hush falls over the listeners, as if none within the sound of her voice even dares to breathe. Not until the last note fades do those listeners realize that they have been spellbound, transported into another world from which they are reluctant to return.”—Marilyn Arnold

What a Treasure!!
I have just recently discovered Ms. Burton. What an incredible gift. Listening to her sing is like opening a chest of precious gem in the sunlight and letting them fall through your fingers with the light tripping in and out and over and through them...Bringing you to remembrances as well as new adventures as she teases out the absolute beauty of each song. I was totally impressed and cannot recommend her music more highly. Sure....play it in your car... but rather...go sit on a bench in the snow and just absorb it.......sit on a mountain peak and let God speak through it..
