ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Martin Cliffe is an English guitarist and recording engineer who is currently based in Hong Kong. He was formerly the frontman and bandleader for the progressive rock band Voyager Project, who released 2 albums in 2010 and 2011. He's an experienced instrumental teacher and performer on guitar, bass, keyboards and drums, and has been singing since he could talk.

Tick Talk represents a very productive time in Martin's musical past, when he played bass in Lancashire band Some Have Wings, who created the song in its original form. It is the first commercial release under Martin's own name, although he has released under the moniker Misaligned, as well as with the aforementioned bands. The song was written by SHW singer (and uber-talented artist) Alastair Gordon, and is recorded and released with his blessing.

A melodic and relatively conventional ballad, Tick Talk represents a departure from Martin's traditional hard rock and progressive roots, although the influence is certainly clear in the production of it. He plans to continue to record and release songs as a solo artist, while working on an instrumental album project targeted for release in the 2nd half of 2014.
