Album Notes
Page's 5th solo album is, in many ways, a double album of love songs. Eight brand new songs and recordings paired with his most-loved classics makes an album divided right down the middle, blending the old with the new by deftly weaving such romantic evergreens as "Mi Morena" and "Blessed" side-by-side with stunning new ballads such as "Every Now and Then", "Never From My Heart" and the heartbreaking "Bleed". This album is a testament to the art and craft of songwriting, and is possibly Martin's most intimate, revealing work to date.

An added bonus is the beguiling new version of "I Was Made For You", a song originally recorded on Page's break-through first solo album, "In The House Of Stone and Light".

What melodies
Superb tunesmith Page. These songs come from a master. A veteran of many pop hits for others - this shows he’s a melodic craftsman.
The song ‘Every Now And Then’ has the lyric which could make a big country hit - and the song ‘Bleed’ is a stunner. Like Sting , Page demonstrates that he can move within many styles. With ease - And they just happen to be both fine bass players too!

In LOVE with The Slender Sadness
When an artist says they're releasing an album of their older songs, I always get a little nervous because I feel like I'm getting gypped. But this album, while delivering 8 tried and true favorites also delivers 8 entirely new songs, making it really feel like a double album, which is awesome. Another interesting note is that one of the old faves, "I Was Made For You" has been reworked a bit and it's better than ever.
The new songs by themselves are incredible. Yes, they're all about love, but each one is unique in which aspect of love that it details, both the good and the bad. There are so many layers to each of the songs both sonically and lyrically, I'll no doubt have to listen several times to get them all, and will gladly do so!

Great songwriting
It’s rare that you get a whole album of quality songs. This is such an album. From top to bottom it’s a master class. So many different styles but all about love ... what more do you need. Class.

A double album of Emotion
This is the kind of record you keep for special occasions. Emotional occasions. This truly is a songwriter’s testament to fine writing.
Page’s career has taken many twists and turns in styles of music ... this shows he is at his best as a purist. 16 songs that move the heart.
And an album you’ll always return to - when emotions dictate. A gem.

Great new album.
Really good mix of some of his best known love songs plus new ones that are just as good if not better. One of my faves is the revisited "I Was Made for You" and from the new ones, I really liked "Lovelight."
