Album Notes
World-renowned hit songwriter/performer/producer, Martin Page (the songs: “These Dreams”, “We Built This City”, “King of Wishful Thinking”, “In The House of Stone and Light” and “Faithful”), releases his first instrumental, experimental ambient album, “THE AMBER OF MEMORY” - a meditation on nature, technology and impermanence; an exploration of sonic space, electrics and sublime atmospheres.

Page takes us into territories of half-light and dark beauty, where his very personal reflections on life are a pure distillation of human senses. THE AMBER OF MEMORY is a music rooted in feelings.

I wasn’t sure quite what to expect when Page changed direction here! I’m used to enjoying his popular songwriting ... but I was willing to give this album a chance - and I was mesmerized. It’s a bit of a discovery this record - quite unique and transporting. Sometimes it touches on pure ambience, other times touches classical and choral/hymnal - as well as rhythmic electronics. I allowed myself to get lost in it’s inner story - took a chance on it. I’m glad I did. It’s a gem of sonic atmospheres.

Beauty raw and true
I’m always searching for music that intrigues me - that conjures up mystery and transcendence . I find it in abundance here. I was fascinated to check this album out as I was a fan of Page’s break through album ‘In The House Of Stone and Light’. I wasn’t disappointed - even though this is an instrumental album - his trademark atmospheres are all here. And he sings on one song - Aeroplanes. A vision of technology and nature rubbing up against each other. If you want strange, quite beautiful sonic adventures. The Amber Of Memory is for you.
