Album Notes
September 6th, 2009 was a picture perfect day when Marty Wendell and his band pulled "The White Pigeon"(Marty's Bus) into the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds in Schaghticoke, NY. The task at hand was to provide the opening show for recording giants "The Platters". In the the wake of the great response to his "Rockabilly Heart" album, Marty came prepared to let his musical roots show and to remind the audience how good genuine rockabilly music can be. Not only did the efforts of Marty and the band result in two standing ovations, but fortunately what happened on that day was recorded making this album possible. He not only shared his interpretations of classic songs, but performed two new original songs, "Flea Bag Blues" and "Windin' Down". So now anyone who wasn't there to witness the magic of that day can also enjoy the excitement and energy of Marty Wendell Live and Rockin'!
