Marty Wendell has done it all, records, radio and TV, concerts on the same bill with some of the biggest names in music and picking up numerous awards along the way. His original songs reflect many influences from roots rockabilly, classic country, to rhythm and blues and Gospel. He has opened concerts for artists as varied as Arlo Guthrie, The Platters, Carl Perkins, T. Graham Brown, Shirley Alston Reeves and Johnny Cash. From his first single "Hey Hey Mama" in 1968 to his critically acclaimed 2015 album "A Real Good Run", Marty continues to write songs with substance. Robby Turner, steel guitarist and producer for the late Waylon Jennings, describes Marty's music this way: "These songs are real and reality seems harder to find in today's modern music."
