ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Superb debut by mandolin-player/guitarist/singer MaryAnn Harris, who, with and her husband, author Charles de Lint, has performed on the indie music scene for many years. An engaging companion disc to Charles de Lint’s Old Blue Truck album, this four-track EP is a sampler of MaryAnn’s original songs inspired by teen spirit, crows, love and human relationships.

Delight in title track Crow Girls – an homage to teenagers and crows. Swoon to lovers’ ballad, In a Heartbeat. Dance to Sideways, Turned ‘Round. Filling it out is her original Celtic waltz, John McPhee’s Homestead – already a favourite at Irish ceilidhs and tune sessions.

Beautifully accompanied by a stellar cast of musicians – Charles de Lint, Blair Hogan, Brock Zeman, Dylan Roberts and Greg T. Brown, this disc has compelling lyrics and irresistible melodies.
