ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Mary lives in Atlanta, Georgia and enjoys singing in local cafe's, private parties, weddings, various choirs, etc. First and foremost Mary loves to sing, it's not just a hobby - but a passion.

Her parents' love of country music was passed down to Mary and later she was greatly influenced by John Denver, Peter Paul & Mary, Joan Baez, Dylan, then broadened to more contemporary country singers including Jewel. Mary's style leans more toward folk, country & easy listening, although she enjoys most music genres.

Mary's voice and style has often been likened to that of Joan Baez by her fans. Most people describe her voice as "soothing, relaxing, mesmerizing, haunting and unique".

"Songwriting is a very precious & unexpected gift falling from heaven, not to be taken lightly, but gratefully", she humbly admits.

Please give a listen to some of these original song samples and treat yourself to a delightful moment of original, peaceful, soulful fantasy.

Turn it up, close your eyes, sit on your couch and let it flow over you.
Mary writes from her heart. Her lyrics are a portrait of love and lessons learned and lifes gifts relished and emotions explored. And there is undeniable hope underlying it all. "Hold on to your faith through it all, until you have a chance to grow"
I first became aware or the power of Mary's voice when she sent me a recording she had done of Dylan's "Forever Young". It was done as a single track with her accompanying herself with a simple finger picked nylon string background. And it tremored up my spine to my face and misted my eyes. Very few voices have had that effect on me. Mary's flows through emphsis and de-emphasis carrying the lyrics like a child in its arms. I was honored when she asked me to work with her on some of the songs here.
If you haven't yet had a chance to sit back and listen to Mary's music, do yourself a favor and pick this CD up and add it to your collection. It will refresh you with its softness and inspire you with its strength.
