Mary's career as an internationally known and respected musician has spanned more than three decades. A prize-winning fingerstyle and lap slide guitarist, singer and songwriter with a focus on blues and ragtime, Mary is on staff at many prestigious "guitar camps" around the country. She twice placed third in the National Fingerpicking Championship ('01 and '03), has received many Colorado newspaper "Best Of" awards and is a fellowship recipient from the Colorado Council on Arts and Humanities. Flower's Blues in the Schools program is often a part of her busy touring schedule as she continues to carry on the tradition of roots and original music. Find out more at WWW.MARYFLOWER.COM.

"With her supple, low-register voice and on-the-money guitar work, Mary Flower is one of the best blues-based singer songwriters working today." -ACOUSTIC GUITAR MAGAZINE

"Mary is one of those rare artists who manages to create a tincture of the aged authentic with the freshly original." -FINGERSTYLE GUITAR MAGAZINE

"Flower has been around about as long as Bonnie Raitt, only without the major-label contracts, the arena and the Grammy. She deserves to be known by at least as many people." -ALL MUSIC GUIDE TO BLUES

Top Notch acoustic Blues
I tracked Mary Flower CDs down on Bob Margolin's recommendation. He's right on the money about Mary. She's a Top Notch act on an independent label. The quality of this acoustic and traditional Blues music and the recorded sound is just as good as any major label.....actually, better than a lot of 'em!
