Album Notes
"We simply open up rather then create links between specific musical processes and certain feelings or states of being -- sadness, joy, or wanting to dance.

"When that opening happens, one is modulated unceasingly by the music. Whether we are aware of this or not, we are modulated by a specific piece of music in a specific way."

-karlheinz stockhausen

MARYLIZ is an internationally renowned performance artist, composer, and coach. Her music has not been easily categorized, falling outside the traditional channels of performance practice. Her ability to mirror the essence and mood spanning from an individual’s interior state to a system’s internal growth pattern through musical improvisation, places her in a domain all of her own.

Maryliz has written countless pieces for ensembles and solo instruments. She has been bringing her unique style of music and insight into the world for many years. She brings her distinct style of music into the domain of organizations, asking age-old questions of identity in work, relationships and self. She is an independent coach, performer, composer and community leader. Her presentations take many different forms, from keynote talks at conferences to residential retreats. She forms longstanding relationships with individuals and communities who learn, through her work with the language of music, processes that guide and model what leaders need for the challenges they face today.
