ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I am a worship leader, a vocal coach, a piano instructor, singer and songwriter and have spent my life performing and preparing others to perform. I met my producer Brandon Bee years ago when he was producing an album for my student Holly Starr. We have been friends since. This album was a joy to make working with such an incredible and gifted producer. This album is a labor of love. The songs we selected for the album come from my life. There are songs of worship, songs of grief, illness, joy, anger, nostalgia and hope in Jesus.

I chose to record this album because of circumstances that showed me it was the right thing to do. I had performed one of my original songs at a concert in November 2012 and was approached after the concert by a man who broke down weeping. He was fighting a losing battle with cancer. My song, "Speeding Train" had touched him deeply and he asked for a recording of it. I had none. (Thankfully - someone had video taped the concert and burned a dvd for him.) A month later - a beautifully gifted musician, 20 years old - died. I had worked with this young man on several music projects and he was a dear friend. I was devestated along with my entire community. I wrote a song, "It's Not Good-Bye" that his family requested be sung at his Memorial. Then - his professors requested it be sung at a Memorial for his School. I was unable to get to the School Memorial - so they asked that it be videotaped. That tape was requested again and again, and I began to get notes from friends and strangers requesting the song be passed on to "a sister whose child has committed suicide", "a friend whose daughter was killed"...and on and on. That was when I began to make official plans with Producer Brandon Bee to record. It evolved into this album, and I am very glad to say it is now available for any who would be blessed to hear it. These songs I have mentioned along with several others have stories to tell - and the coolest part is - although your stories may be entirely different from mine - you just may find yourself in these songs as many others have expressed to me they have found. I am honored that people want to hear it. So honored.
