ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
When I recorded my previous album, "A Journey", my dad was sad that I hadn't included his favorite of my original songs, "Glory". I said "But Dad - that's a Christmas song!" - to which he replied "Then make a Christmas Album!"
So I did. Here it is.
I wish I could say it was a total joy making this album, but during the project - my Dad was diagnosed with lung cancer and went Home to Jesus only 6 weeks later. My heart was (is) broken. He was my biggest fan and he didn't get to be here when the album was completed. I don't know, I think he can hear it in heaven. Maybe that's just wishful thinking, but I hope he can - because included on this album are many tributes to his life and legacy. His oldest grandchild, (my son Aaron) sings on this album. His oldest great grandchild, (my little granddaughter Molly) along with a few other of his great grandies are also singing on this album. His pride in his Scottish ancestry is well represented too with songs like "Tàladh Chriosda" (Christ Child Lullaby) in which I sing a little Scottish Gaelic (along with English), and a piano instrumental or two (which he loved) including the final track "Auld Lang Syne" - a Scottish farewell. (Especially poignant to my mom and I because we sang it in Scotland when we traveled there to lay Dad's ashes in Loch Lomond this summer).
This is NOT a sad album. It is in tribute to a man who lived life with a childlike joy in the Holidays and a huge huge huge servant-hearted love for his family and others. It is an album with tons of Childlike Wonder, nostalgic fun, heartfelt love for Jesus and gratitude and celebration!
