Aegean Rhapsody is an album of Greek, Balkan and Mediterranean World Music released by Viktor Mastoridis in 2007.
It contains 14 tracks: 4 songs in English and Hebrew and 10 instrumentals featuring bouzouki and baglamas (Greek musical instruments) and acoustic & electric guitars.
Aegean Rhapsody is a summer music album, portraying sea horizons, blue skies, Mediterranean sunshine and lightness of existence. The acoustic plucked-string instruments take the listener through moods ranging from Sirtaki dance in a taverna in Greece to a Belly Dance in a night-club somewhere in coastal Arabia .
The tracks feature a variety of Greek rhythms: tsifteteli, syrtaki, tsamiko, hasapiko, hasaposerviko etc.
The opening track is dedicated to Zorba the Greek Dance by Theodorakis.
