ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This record "the dialogue' is a follow up to a recent release called 'headin' out' which received a 4.5 star review in july 2015 downbeat magazine and was awarded 'one of the best records of 2015' by downbeat again in january 2016. 'the dialogue' has certainly "headed out" musically as it is more exploratory with more musical conversations amongst the musicians and is harder hitting. Some of the music is avant garde and a few of the tunes are quite accesible to just about anybody. this music is post-bebop 21st century modern jazz featuring a totally new and unique alto saxophone voice in Matt Criscuolo and the freightening musical prowess of the incredible Tony Purrone on guitar
