Album Notes
"Take Your Time" is the third album from Cleveland, Ohio based songwriter/guitarist Matt Harmon. Intimate guitar work and close clear vocals accompanied only by the stellar percussion playing of outstanding Northern Ohio based drummer, Anthony Taddeo, this album represents a departure from the full band sound of its predecessors. "Take Your Time" is true to the vibe of Harmon's live solo performances. The record is engineered with crystal clarity by Jake Fader of Fader Sound and Music, who completes the hat-trick, having engineered the previous two Matt Harmon releases with great results. This album cements Harmon and Fader as forceful production team on the shores of the great Lake Erie.

The detailed and adept flat-picking style acoustic guitar playing shines here, but as always with a Matt Harmon record, the lyrics are front and center. Inspired by the corrosion of our political discourse in recent years, there are no holds barred in this writing. We are human first, all other identifiers are completely self-imposed. We ride the same planet through the same galaxy, we suffer the same fate. "Take Your Time" is a plea to unite around our commonality, to embrace each other and celebrate the short opportunity we have to wonder. Short and sweet, this carefully constructed concept album says a great deal in just under half of an hour.

Please give it a listen from start to finish as intendended, and if it speaks to you, spread the word.
