Album Notes
Matthew C. Shuman is an original solo piano artist who is also an avid sketch artist, landscape photographer and oil painter. Art is in the forefront of much of his life. Both Matthew's music and art are inspired and fueled by a combination of his life experience and nature. He has been writing music since he began studying the piano at the age of seven.

Matthew has produced five albums in his music career; “Natural Emotion,” “Escape from Reality,” “Falling Into Place,” “Sailing Away,” "Crossroads" and has most recent begun releasing pieces of his latest chapter based album "The Story of Life." These albums currently stream across the globe on Pandora, Apple Music, Amazon and many other streaming audio services. Matthew has also made his work available for download through iTunes, Amazon and Google Play with hard copy CDs available in the US exclusively on this website.

In 2011, The Weather Channel picked up many of his solo piano works and featured them nationwide on The Weather Channel’s Local on the 8s. Matthew's album “Escape from Reality” earned a place in the TOP 100 Best Sellers for both iTunes and Amazon in their New Age category because of the exposure on The Weather Channel. Matthew’s piece “Chasing the Wind” landed at #37 of iTunes 100 Most Downloaded songs in the United States and #15 in New Zealand in 2011. He has an established reputation on the internet as “The Weather Channel Pianist” with the following pieces airing on The Weather Channel’s Local on the 8s; “Mixed Emotions,” “Stormy Sea,” “Fallen Snow,” “Falling Rain,” “Frosty Sunrise,” “Finding Freedom,” “Chasing the Wind,” “Night Storm,” and “White Water.”

Matthew’s success achieved up until this point has been accomplished without the help of a record label. All writing, performing, recording, producing, and promoting has been done solely by Matthew. With the help of the internet and a massive amount of perseverance, his dream of sharing his music with the world is becoming a reality. A special thank you to all the support of his family, friends and listeners. They are the driving force behind this dream. If you would like to use Matthew's music or are interested possibly having him perform at your establishment or event, please feel free to email him here.

ART ...
