Album Notes
This predominantly pop rock album features 14 original songs and was recorded and produced in its entirety by the artist himself at his private recording studio.

In classic Matthew Neves style, “You and Me” delivers the same great vocals, ingenious melodies, inspiring lyrics, and remarkable musicianship we first fell in love with on his debut album, “Everybody Dreams.”

Matthew kicks off “You and Me” staying true to his Beatles roots with the contagious “Impossible,” a mid-tempo song about a stubborn and self-righteous girl. Next is the mellow “Long Way Home,” which emphasizes life’s spiritual journey. The third cut, “Eyes of an Angel,” is a touching soft rock ballad conveying an uplifting message of living in the present. “Robbery” continues the ballad-esque vibe, with a dreamy-like cadence, taking us through the turmoil of unrealized dreams. Then, the upbeat sing-a-long, “Square One,” reflects on an incompatible relationship. Even more infectiously melodic, “Days of Summer” will have you reciting a “live life to the fullest” anthem. We then transition into the down-tempo track, “Gonna Miss You,” a poignant dedication that inspires hope for anyone dealing with the loss of a loved one. Following is the enticing “Sweet Candy Kisses,” whose playful yet taunting repetition manifests the danger of falling in love too soon. Track 9, “Searching for Heaven,” envelops the blues, both melodically and lyrically. “Misery Loves Company” changes pace, conjoining a feel-good beat with catchy lyrics and hooks. Next, the rock track, “Today Is the Day,” revs your engines – get ready to party like a rock star. The album then closes with two beautiful ballads: “Something Special for You,” which imparts God’s special plan for everyone; and “My Dear Anna,” a song about a long distance relationship.

“You and Me” will be available at most online retail stores including: iTunes, Amazon, MTV, eMusic, Rhapsody, and CD Baby. Be sure to give it a listen, your ears will be thanking you.
